A grim, rainy day in London

A grim, rainy day in London
4th March 2014 Cities and Memory

grim

One thing you can say for a grim, rainy day is that at least you might get some nice rain sounds out of it. At this point I was sheltering beneath the canopy of a trendy-looking hairdresser’s shop, listening to the rain pounding down and wiping it off my recorder, wondering if it’d got inside and damaged it, the rain was so hard. What you hear halfway through is a couple of customers hurrying in through the rain and the old, creaky door mechanism doing its thing.
