Cities and Memory: exhibition sounds
Regular readers will recall that Cities and Memory was recently part of a multimedia exhibition in Oxford called Kymmata, where we presented a three-hour sound installation, touring the world from west to east and exploring field recordings and reimagined sounds.
Here, along with some photos, we present a 20-minute excerpt from the sound installation to give you a flavour of how it all sounded, taking in hundreds of bees, touring car racing, street preachers and a football crowd.
