Cities and Memory exhibition in Oxford this week
For those of you in the UK – and specifically in the Oxford area – we have a three-day installation of Cities and Memory sounds coming up this week.
From Thursday 25 until the end of Saturday 27 June, Cities and Memory will be exhibiting in the gallery space at the Old Fire Station in central Oxford as part of the Playground on Fire event.
There will be a three-hour looping installation of field recordings and reimagined sounds from all over the world, divided into the four themes of Nature, Water, People and Machines.
The sound installation will be accompanied by a series of photographs from selected recording locations by Giulia Biasibetti.
Beginning at the launch event at 6.30pm on Thursday, the installation will play throughout the following days. The exhibition is free to attend – more information here.
