The organ of Bath Abbey goes dark

What sound map of the city of Bath would be complete without a sample of the organ from its famous Abbey?

We were fortunate enough to catch some organ practice on a Sunday afternoon and pick up some of the sounds of the booming, majestic organ echoing around the huge abbey interior.

Lee Riley, regular Cities and Memory contributor and curator of the Seeing Sound from Inside Out exhibition as part of Fringe Arts Bath, took on the sound and gave it his patented drone treatment, creating something textural, dark and distinctly unsettling from what was a bright and lively source material, as you can hear below.
