The Next Station launches today
We’re very happy to launch our latest project The Next Station today – you can explore it in full at www.citiesandmemory.com/thenextstation.
As well as being the first ever sound map of the London Underground, with 55 stations recorded, we’ve created an alternative sound world beneath the streets of the city with the help of 95 artists from around the world.

Each tube station has been remixed and reimagined, with between one and three alternative sounds per location.
You can explore the sounds via an interactive version of the iconic London Underground tube map, via our London sound map, or listen to them in sequence on the featured playlist.
Over the coming days, we’ll be highlighting individual stations and their reimagined sounds, as we explore the project in more detail.
