Open call – Sacred Spaces
Following on from our callout for field recordings from sacred spaces a couple of weeks ago, we’re pleased to launch the next stage of our Sacred Spaces project.
We’re calling out for artists, sound designers and musicians to reimagine and remix the sounds of churches, temples, mosques and so on to help us create a reimagined sound world of sacred and religious spaces, examining the crucial role sound has always played in our spiritual lives.
We’ve amassed a bank of more than 75 field recordings from around the world for you to work with – as far afield as Cambodia, Japan, Macedonia and India, and covering temples, mosques, mausoleums, music, prayer, song and much more.
Can you help us reimagine these sacred sounds? Just drop us an email now to find out more and get involved with the project.
