We’re excited to present the callout for the Cities and Memory summer project, which is called Three Words.
It’s based on what3words, which is a unique mapping and location system whereby every 3m square in the world is assigned a unique three-word address – which means any location on the planet can be found using its three-word identifier.
Three Words by Cities and Memory invites you to use these three word identifiers as artistic inspiration, using them as a set of “found instructions” to remix and reimagine a field recording from any given location – like a location-based form of Oblique Strategies cards.
Contact us if you’d like to get involved – there are only around 25 spaces left on the project so move fast!
