Cities and Memory at Audiograft festival
We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be performing a special composition at this year’s Audiograft festival, the leading event for experimental music and sound in Oxfordshire.
Our commissioned piece is called “Sedimento”, and it’s a sonic response to Pauline Oliveros’ reflection in the introduction to Deep Listening about life, relationships and sonic experiences: “we are always gathering sediment, it seems.”
The piece is built around field recordings from Venice, Italy, presenting a psychogeographical tour of the city as filtered through our own memory and experience, and will be accompanied by bespoke live visuals exploring ideas around sediment and city.
The one-off Audiograft performance will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 21 March, at Ovada Gallery in Oxford. More information can be found over here.
