Welcome to the Migration Sounds installation!

You can explore the full collection of sounds from the project in this interactive sound player.

  1. Put on the headphones, and using the touch screen you can dive into all 120 sounds.
  2. Hit “info” to read the stories behind each sound and its corresponding reimagined composition.
  3. You can filter the sounds by country or by category – pressing “clear” will return you to the full collection.
  4. Within the player, the first sound is the original migration sound recording, while the second sound is a reimagined composition based on that recording.
